Rules
Here’s a breakdown of the rules for each round:
Round 1: Freestyle Session
Participants: 4 DJs Format: Each DJ is given 15 minutes to captivate the audience with a freestyle session. There are no specific restrictions on the genre or style of music played during this round, allowing DJs to showcase their versatility and creativity.
Round 2: Selection
Selection Process: 2 DJs are chosen from Round 1 to advance to the finale. The selection is based on audience votes.
Round 3: Head-to-Head Tune for Tune
The 2 DJs selected from Round 1 compete head-to-head in a tune-for-tune battle. Each DJ has 15 minutes to play their chosen tracks, alternating turns. This round often emphasizes the DJ's ability to read the crowd, select appropriate tracks, and mix seamlessly between songs.
Round 4: Caribbean Music Celebration
In this final round, DJs deliver a 20-minute set specifically celebrating Caribbean music. This could include genres like reggae, dancehall, soca, calypso, and more. DJs are expected to showcase their knowledge and appreciation of Caribbean music culture while keeping the audience engaged and entertained.
